34th G-8 Summit

THE BEST DAY OF ALL

This Monday was the last day of the G-8 summit. At the last sessions the delegates decided the most important things from all the sessions in Mini-ONU. It was the best day of discussions in the summit, the level of the debate improved.
The main subject discussed in the debate was the development of new sources of energy to all the countries in the world. The highest point of the debate was when the United States received a letter in which the Oil Organization said the supply of 32% of the totally oil in the world would be cut. Then, all countries started to give suggestions about sources of energy to substitute the oil. US together with Brazil, Germany and other countries defended the use of biofuel and the investment in the countries that produce this fuel, but not to the fuel production, but to the food production because of the food crisis that is happening in the world. Otherwise, The International Atomic Energy Agency and countries like Japan defended the use of atomic energy.
The most strange thing happened was the disagreement between some countries of the European Union and the representative of the European Union. “ Italy, United Kingdom and Germany are in favor of the biofuel, but the European Union are against it, because the food crisis.”, explained the delegates of the Italy, Isabela Santos and Edgar Pellizzon.
In the end, all countries agreed with the document that said the biofuel is one of the best sources of energy to substitute the oil; and the atomic energy has to be used with care and not with the purpose of war.
